    SS Numbered Tab Opinions? :-)

Hey guys, I have a chance to get this tab in with a trade? Does anyone see any red flags?

Any help, opinions, or advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you in advance

    Cheers,

Only thing that really catches my eye is how un-aligned the runes and number appaer to be. I'm anxious to find out what the smart guys know.

I agree, I am no expert on the early SS tabs but the runes look off to me.

I like it very much with the early block shape runics.

I really do not care for the backing, rune alignment, and the rzm tag nomenclature does not work for me, not in my collection.

Bob, why the huge discrepancy in the bucky? Possibly the lighting?

The backing im sure is the lighting. Here are some of my other items that have the same weave and some have the thicker darker glue on the buckram as well.

                Thanks for the comments

Here is a better picture showing the dark glue like the SS1 tab.

Sorry for the poor photos, but not all early block style runics are equal. These two examples are average, at best.

Here are 2 more images i received from my friend. These are with no flash that hopefully show the backing better.

                              interesting thread,
i'm certainly no expert here considering the seasoned collectors contributing
but I think its a good one!
