SD Sturmbannfuhrer boards opinion.

I want to buy these pair of SD shoulder boards.
I like them but as boards are sometimes difficult, I would like some opinions on them.

I do not like the piping material on them no nap like wool..not smooth rayon or braided chord...not for me.

I believe they are ok
The green material is indeed not 'piping' as such, rayon or braided chord types, so the bit rough look of this backing could be ok, I personally see no problem with this.

SS Boards

The size and shape of the black underlay gives me pause. If someone has another set of SS officer boards that match this style, I'd like to see them. If not, then they seem like Heer boards with black underlay added.

Well, here's one currently on Collector's Guild with the manufacturer's tag still attached, so it looks fine. The material of the branch is different, but I'm sure there are more than one kind. I never have seen in person one with the black underlayment so perfect as these.
