I agree. It looks like a country club patch, usually worn on a jacket. Might be awarded to the club champ.

However in all seriousness, that type of work cant really be exclusively attributed to german nor ww2 manufacture. I have seen buillion patches from various nations and eras that had a very similar look to the one you are showing. Infact I don't think that is even a military patch.
What type of flower is it? What was is a simbol of and what country had a bone for them?''Backing? Looks like a lot of German SS insignia...

            Patch

"''Backing? Looks like a lot of German SS insignia... "

Well it's not an SS item. No way. Like a previous poster stated; if I may paraphrase: This belongs on a school jacket, sports team insignia, blazer, underwear, socks, back pack, whatever but, but; it is not SS. This is not a flower identification forum either. This thread is getting very old.

So are the silly attached images. Are they supposed to be funny?

Hello Dr, I think you are hilarious!! I like you comical approach to this hobby. This conversation is one of the funniest I have read on the forum! I do not see why people get uptight when they bring a little laughter to the hobby. Why would anyone not welcome your outlook ?? Please keep the laughs coming you had my side hurting, seriously

I too, think they (the images) are hilarious.

You should study the insignia you are attributing your patch as more thoroughly. Much more thoroughly. Then you would hopefully know what you have in hand or more importantly; not what you have in hand. When you say the backing looks like that of SS insignia, then you are really grabbing at straws.

Buy a set of golf clubs, add a green blazer, sew the patch on and be happy.

i too find the images comical........but.........there was a little known ss detachment under the reichsnahrstand that was tasked with supervision of the fall harvests.this would make this an ss cultural item also...........

Walther Darré became Reich Minister of Food and Agriculture (Reichsnahrstand) but this organization is not listed in the SS. If a small SS detachment was part of this organization then will you be good enough to identify it?

The Agricultural Economic Administration of the SS (Gruppe Landwirtschaftliche Verwaltung) attended to matters of agriculture. They had their own raut and it looks nothing like the patch being discussed.
