To be honest, it dosn't look like oxidation just minor wear, it's a pretty nice piece.

Dont worry, you got a very nice eagle IMHO oxidation (and thats the case from what I can see from the photos posted -and mixed with wear) in most cases are the result of storage in improper environment post war - oxidation takes a long time -and seldom the result from combat wear.

Anyway, thats a minimal detail. You found a really nice original eagle, and enjoy it!
Its my fav design for flat wire eagles!
