Hi Gents,
I would like to know what do you thing about thees four interesting ss zeltbahns.
I am sure that thees are original, they are attick find and never been in a collection.
I thing there is a start of camuflage roll material on one . What do you thing?

The three rolled up zelts look very promising, the one shown in detail is 100% good and shows a production flaw: The material was cut the wrong way showing sections of the pattern that "shouldn't" be there. This flaw is more common with zelts printed in later planetree patterns (overprint).

Jan:

Overprint is the type of planetree that uses an oakleaf pattern background. The other planetree patterns are fully handscreend (incl. the background).

The one you have shown in detail has one side printed in a fully handscreened 1/2 planetree (with a not so common flaw) and the other side in 1/2 overprint planetree (this also shows the flaw but to a lesser degree).

On overprint patterns that flaw is more common.

The one shown in detail is ca. midd 43 - midd 44. The others seem to be like that too, so none looks early to me. But to say for certain I'd need to see more pictures of the rolled up zelts.

I just notice these are two similar zelts shown in detail with the same flaw.

This explains what the flaw is: The material was supposed to be cut along those "lines" that I have marked with a red line. With these zelts they have missed those lines and cut the material in the wrong parts of the pattern.

All four zelts are exactly the same ! no diference on them !
( expect the one with strating print )
It is a complete tent, also with other things like ropes, hooks..
Do you have any idea about the value of this complet ?
