Exactly. This is a superlative example that I enjoyed owning for a time. I hope it finds a good home!

yes indeed , another 2 step SS style liner cut !
but its being presented as a period Heer conversion...
which means their description is not accurate if you believe in this theory! (and I do, owning a 2 step SS one myself!)

Only $34,000.00 ??? And I thought SS tunics were valuable.

For those who do not believe in this theory...thinking its just a makers variation... still waiting!
(for proof... an untouched 2 step WH tunic that would debunk this theory)

Yes, their description is in error. I understand it is being corrected. This was never a Heer used item.

Good example that a dealer will do that, actually admitting an error in the written description, which could have just been an oversight by someone. Also nice of Mike to post it so there won't be a firestorm of false accusations flying around!

                  Well done,

                  Richard

All joking aside, I must say that I'm intrigued with this price level...to say at least. Obviously it is a very nice and authentic SS tunic, without any question. But having currently an almost similar W-SS tunic for sale myself, I have indeed a parallel horse running in this race.
On this point, I hope therefore to find universal agreement that this asking price does not represent the "true" value? (And yes, I realize true value lies in the eyes of the beholder)...

Is it a 2 step or 3 step? SS cut or Heer cut? Liner images available?

btw the listing on the Ruptured Duck did remove the Heer conversion in the description! Its clearly SS all the way! but $34K ?

The selling price is probably based on the request of the Consignor not Bill. Bill is a super nice guy and will be the first to admit he doesn't know everything about the things he is selling and current pricing etc. As noted he will make changes when things are brought to his attention and correct mistakes. Compared to the majority of other dealers and their "ethics" and behavior it is pretty tough to be critical of him about anything.

I've actually already post a image of it in the beginning of this thread Nick... 2 step all the way (..rayon lining with the breast pockets sewn through the liner; stitching behind the collar and the first-aid buttonhole horizontal..all in the allegedly SS style).
