    Just thought i would display this latest addition, i am a motorcycle nut, have been for 30 years so this is special.

    SS Nord Motorcycle plate found in North Karelia

    Aquired with assistance from a well respected and generous fellow member, he knows who he is !!!

              I only think some parts were recovered but not complete bikes. The SS insignia were discarded when they performed the tactical retreat into Norway, i guess if captured by the Soviets they did not want to be known as SS for obvious reasons.

              I wonder what happened to the rear plates!

                are you sure its real martin ??
                ha ha..

                there was a few rear plates
                i think most ended up in russian collections
                there was a bike restored using parts from lake..
                a zundapp..

                  Fraser, i have a friend works in Forensics in the MET, i will get him to carbon date it !! haha

                  Yeah you told me about the Zundapp, thats next on the list or a DKW !!

                  Shame about the rear plates,......if anyone has one out there, LETS SEE IT !!!!
