    S.P. 40 skull rare?

Hey guys I have a shot at a S.P. 40 skull and am not sure how rare they are. If my memory serves me correctly I believe they are rather hard to find. Also what is a fair price to pay for one? I really don't dabble in the SS stuff often but I think this one has a very good chance. I can post some pics up later. Love to hear your thoughts. Matt

Also are all S.P. 40 skulls zinc based? Again sorry for all the questions but I want to be sure before I spend the moeny for it. Matt

        Peter,

thanks for the quick response. I am kinda hopeful I can get it but who knows. Is zinc the least desirable of the different types? Matt

Yes, but a zinc SP40 is still a rare and desirable skull.

              Zink = $1,500.00+ , Aluminum = up to $3,000.00

Aluminum ones are extremely rare, (third rarest of all types).

              Best, Chris

I think the prices are little to high IMO.

Zinc with no finish left can't cost $1500.

it is offered for what is worth around $1000

                  S.P. 40 skull rare?

                  For your information.
There is one floating around the market place that looks as if ifs been ground dug and repaired. Which I believe is a fake.
                  Regards
                  David

Well, when one shows up for sale in the next ten years, maybe you will be the lucky one that gets it for $1,000.00. In the meantime, if anyone wants $1,500.00, they know who to contact.

I agree with my friend here.
But every now and then one can get lucky:

I understand that you guys HUGE fans of skulls, but you value them more than dealers do.

This is why John T is one of the best if not best dealer on the planet.

Just this year 8 Sp40 was offered and way cheaper than you guys pricing them.

I know you own them and probably hopping to sell to the highest price possible, nothing wrong with that,i am just glad that we can still find them cheaper true dealers like John T and couple others

No problem my friend,i knew you would disagree,i only made my opinion based on what happened in last 2 years,12 M.P. 40 skulls,8 from dealers, 4 privet sales, the highest price for dead mint aluminum was 1850,the cheapest was $600
