    wonder if this picture was towards end of war, middle or beginning?
    i understand that some Heer visors were converted to SS visors towards the end of the war.. just a thought

              He is an Estonian trooper...possibly a borderguard (Home Defence) soldier (they wore WH army uniforms) who got absorbed in the Estonian Waffen SS.
              Many of these troops, as well as Schuma members, eventually transferred into the Waffen SS while defending Estonia, creating a hodge-podge of kit!
