Well gentlemen, it is not totally clear the initial set is fake. At least how I see it. The piping is very close to a war time pattern but a rare one, it could actually be original. From these photos alone it looks promising. There needs to be better pictures of the tresse. The elongated diamonds did exist during the war. With that said many post war fakes has used this pattern as well, quite often East German Tresse.
What a pity there is such a bad "non focus" pic of the reverse. This is often a concern as it is used to hide things. However not allways... A seller with a bit of brains and interested in selling (original things) would of course provide clear photos.
Still this set can not be witten off as fakes without better photos. They do have a chance...
