I am sure TGN has many wonderful SS wool armbands with both cloth and paper tags. He is however, slightly perplexed by this cotton version. I wish I could advise him. Is this specific armband a known fake? I am sure the stamping is not an obvious, bogus type.

Honestly, if this didn't have black stripes I would think it would be accepted as an NSDAP armband.

These early cotton brownshirt armbands are tough. I have only found 2 in my travels in veteran groups, but seen many that "could be"

Yes but could you LIVE with it ? Those evenings when you sit with a JD in your hand and look at your collection .... does it give you the glow of knowing 100% it's right ? My guess would be not.
