I agree with Gary, I do not like that odd paper backing on the band, John

Paper replaced the cloth backing in the embroidery industry and is a trait of post war production on machine embroidered items. A lot of fakers have learnt to remove this paper now, but even when this is done with a loop and a blunt thin object you can tease back the threads on the back to expose the paper the embroidery has covered, this is something they cannot remove :-)

But also look at the material the cuff band is made off!
