        This is an old fake of Austrian origin, below is a un cut example, this type/style has been copied more than once

          Thanks Gary I really appreciate the info and also the pic of the mint fake!

          I was looking at purchasing it from Snyder's Treasures - won't be now!!

                          bevo skull

                          This looks to be a nice original tropical bevo skull. This is the most common pattern bevo skull, and are easily available from 60.00 to 100.00 USD but were not really utilized much on SS tropical headgear. Major dealers charge about 140.00 for these now.

                              Bill Shea has these for $125.

                              How does this skull look (this is NOT from Bill Shea's site)? It is not exactly like the one above.
