    SS Back pack??

Maybe I should put this in the Wehrmacht Equipment area but since it might be SS I'll leave it here. There is a small about 8mm SS press on the backpack. It is located in the middle between the straps. I tried taking pics of it but my camera isn't picking it up properly. I do not believe that that mark could have been pressed after the back pack was put together as it probably requires much pressure to indent suck hard leather. This is the only real hope this makes me believe it is SS.
There is writing on the flap which of course could have been put post war.

Last is 2 stamps which I do not know if they were used in reality. If there was a red flag with this would that be it? Here are three pics.

This one is where I tried to get the pressed SS, it is in the "V" part of the stiching but it can't be seen. Was this a practise during the war?

Here are the stamps. As I've never seen a "SS" back pack and the marking it might have so I do not know what to think. It looks too crisp but then if no one used it too much during its lifetime then why not?? I don't know. As I usually didn't pay too much for my stuff I really do not worry if its fake but I would hope I have some good items in my collection...

Thank you for your time in looking ....Lubos

the v part where you say there are runes looks like someone has removed the makers mark, also the ink stamp there should be also in ink a contract code and date, are the straps marked at all?

          cheers,

          Gary
