                  Chris, can you please post a shot of the outer edge? The top side would be good.
                  I've seen this color on Zimmermanns before. It is CupAl and these can be tricky.
                  Some of them look almost blue.

                        Some of these CupAl eagles made by Zimmermann were finished with an unknown material that has a unique silver/blue look. We call this, the "alloy finish" and here is one of mine.

                        On my eagle, you can see what this stuff looks like. Most of it has worn away, but you can see what's left.

                            Only my 2 cts...

                            this pair is made of an easy to bend/twist alloy and very soft.
                            The prongs seems to be moulded with the insignia... and no stamping traces at all ...
