Gentlemen!
Maybe this tunic should not be posted under the SS forum but I take my chances. Please feel free to move it if it doesn't belong here.
I have had this 5 buttons HBT tunic for years but I did not notice the ghost of an arm eagle until a couple of days ago. I guess its impossible to say if the eagle was present on the tunic during the war but I did not pay much for it and the one I bought it from did not mention it. And it has no ghost that could indicate that there has been any breast eagle present during the war.
It may also have had collar tabs once.
There are no hook and eye neck closure fittings.
All buttons are sewn to the tunic and seems to be the same. Marking are "A & S" and "40"
So my question is basically what is this type of tunic called if original?
Was it used by WH and SS?
And when was it made?
With regards,
Stian
