The difference of the color about the 2nd one, pic #4 is not a bit weird ?

I've seen a similar thing on a wehrmacht M43 and it appeared as a new modern fake...

        As Ben say's
I found it stripped and applied the insignia myself. The badges are a matching used pair that I had sitting in a box for a few years and are a perfect fit for the ghosts left on the cloth.
You can't get fairer than that, an honest cap from an honest bloke.

If I were in better monetary situation at this time, I'd be jumping on that cap in a heartbeat.

The first cap looks nice, the 2nd looks promising but more pics wouldn't do any harm.

The difference in color in the 2nd is not a problem.

And yes, both have restored insignia IMO, the prices reflect that.

            Cheers

In my experience, about 80% of all SS hats found in Europe have been stripped of the insignia. The problem is that only about 5% of sellers will admit to it.

I really don't understand the high premium placed on items with so called, originaly applied insignia. In most cases, it's impossible to tell anymore.

I could not have said better, i agree but then if the cap is genuine and the insignia original who can tell the difference, i will take it
