SS EM Sleeve Eagle - Quick Opinions?

    Hello All,

Admittedly, I only had the patience to search through 11 pages of the fake insignia thread without having found a like match, so I thought I would post it for a quick thumbs up or down.

    Thank you,

    Eric

I agree with above gentlemen! Nice "classic style" original.

Certainly a nice RZM pattern SS eagle

but we seem to have missed one important point that makes this eagle a variation from the norm.

Have a look at the backing cloth, it is not the usual coarse wool but the smoother, finer, softer "velveteen" which was often used for SS officer collar tabs.

I have only one SS RZM EM/NCO eagle on the velveteen backing. All my others are on the regular courser type wools. But have also seen it used for LW collar tabs and have several of those in velveteen backing.

Interesting variation of an SS sleeve eagle,

              Chris
