SS M41 Sahariana Question

Hello,

This SS M41 Sahariana just arrived and I'd like to repar the collar.
What should I do?
Looking for another piece of old cloth like the uniform, looking for old tropical yarn.
Is there someone who can give me any advise ?

I'd leave that as it is, authentic and untouched. Just my opinion obviously.

Why fix it ? The damage becomes part of the display.

Maybe you guys are right, it's better then to leave the collar like this, I'm going to search for the tropical chevron to complete the uniform, thanks for the advise!

That may actually be mouse chew, sadly they like the salty stained bits especially of collars.
