You're breaking my heart here. First, he threw the Luger away because he was afraid he'd be burgled. Now, you say he threw it away because of strict gun laws. You've given us two different versions of the same story. So are you going with your original story, or the revised one?

Thank you for all the replies. Well ,with so much Input to the negative then I have to believe that the old boy made a mistake as I am pretty sure he would not lie to me on purpose, all of the other Items that I purchased from him were perfect and I only allowed a very small amount of money for these so It's not like he tried to dupe me. It Is truly amazing though as the manufature was so close to the brassard that I was fooled. Similarly I did not come on here with the Intention of deceiving anyone but to show what I thought were Interesting and fun pieces of kitch.

I realise this Is a very difficult collecting field that abounds with reproductions but I have to say I was rather taken aback by the hostility shown by certain members. I have nothing to gain from lying to you over a few pounds worth of beer coasters. So sg standard you can go back to pontificating about rings now rather than talking out of yours which seems the norm for you.

Now, what did I do with that big magnet.

I have seen many veteran estates where the veteran, or a family member, added to the souvineers the vet brought home from the war with items bought postwar including fantasy items such as these. Add 65 years and it all blends together I suppose. But I do believe these are fantasy items.
