Believe me, I'd like it to be real but I am basing it on the following eagles in the fake gallery and the wing structure. I think it is trying to be this eagle which is original:
Greg, Your Eagle and the one you post as an example of a fake are way different! Look at the details and it is easy to see! Do not throw yours away just yet as it MAY BE GOOD!!!!!!
Kevin
The only red flag on the "Fake" example to me is that it is trimmed too well!
There are many that have been cut (trimmed) from sheets of this style of arm eagle.
Jack,
The one I posted with the yellow highlites is a real one. What I'm saying is that mine is trying to be that but misses. Lets see what others say.
When I first picked this eagle up I thought it was fine but the more I look and compare, I am leaning towards post 45 manufacture.
I'll conclude that I believe your eagle is just a well worn, used example that has been trimmed badly in an historically unsympathetic manner. That's all.
Gut feeling, I may be wrong.
I'm with you on this eagle. It's well aged fake. I don't care at all for what I'm seeing on the reverse and some of the details on the front leave me cold.
