    SS VT jacket

I just want to share this jacket with you and i've got a question left :

On both shoulders are stitching treadts and the space between the 2 stitching on each shoulder is both 2 cm. Does this mean that this jacket did have the regular allgemeine SS boards? 2 of them?
There are no traces that the shouldersboards ever been sewn IN to the sleeve/shoulder stitching.

Hope anyone could help me with this.

    Kind Regards,

    Michael

You can see where the loop was for regular boards at one time, I would assume he wore standard boards and not the Allg. SS type. Just my thoughts though. Matt

      Nice tunic!!!!

Loops for slip on shoulder boards have clearly been removed. I would think the slip on Allgemeine-SS style boards would have been worn.

I love this jacket- I would call it well-used rather than abused...

Super looking tunic....and in my personal opinion the used look give it more character and looks great even without insignia and the shoulder board modification, again in my very humble and personal opinion and collector taste.

Thank you for the reply's guys!

Besslein, why do you think that the piping is added later? Because of the collor?

There are some traces I think.. I can't see it clearly because this tunic has been worn after the war. ( I can't get them on camera)

                            And yes no belt holes.

This is an SSVT tunic I owned and it was modified from the open collar style..note the belt ramp holes. Also there were remains of RZM tags near the inside lower pockets.
