SS Shoulder Boards??

These came in a large lot. Since shoulder boards are not my area is there enough to detect if they are SS or in fact German war time period boards?

The button holes on those boards must be for some giant shoulderboard buttons. Better closeups of the embroidery might help.

Those are odd, are the numbers sewn through the underside of the board fabric?
