    SS Delbana wristwatch

    Hello all,

Delbana started as a Swiss company in 1933, any chance for this one? Coming out of Warsaw.

This company also made a RZM cuckoo clock that looks like the Berghof with your choice of Hitler figure or an SS LAH man that comes out and raises its arm and says "Sieg Heil" for each hour. 12 o'clock is particularly annoying. However, at the time, throwing a pillow at it or locking the little door was a criminal offense.

The clock was a popular parting gift item given to all high ranking Berchtesgaden visitors. In fact, the Skorzeny rescue of Mussolini almost failed when il Duce insisted on going back to retrieve his from his cell at Campo Imperatore. It started chiming and alerted his guards. However, they merely cursed the stupid clock in unrepeatable Italian, rolled over and went back to sleep.

                  Watch

"Double-decal" SS helmets are more valuable and sought after than "single decal" SS helmets. So, ipso-facto, a "double-decal" SS watch is rarer than a single-decal SS watch. C'mon guys - pay attention. It's NOT rocket science!!What makes the watch even RARER, though, is the fact this style of watch was manufactured post-war, if I'm correct. Still........the extra decal should count for SOMETHING !!

Nick , there may be a new collectors field in the making - altered 1950's Delbana's , plenty of variations .. !
