Exactly used by the LAH ...NOT the Allgemeine SS.
Insignia are an odd mix,Id love to subscribe to it I love early early stuff, but the eagle and the A-SS tabs together on this tunic just dont ring the right bells for me.Maybe as its early it could be a fluke?I cant call it,but my gut says no.

Thats true Wewelsburg but couldn't an alg ss-man also choose to wear the eagle on a green SS-VT type tunic when in the field ?
Note; I have even seen a pic of a black alg ss uniform with a sleave eagle and not wearing the standard armband.
Bit strange indeed but in the early days to my opinion possible. Could always choose to put armband over this very early eagle depending on type of duty? As Bob says looks all original.

I dont think so...why would an Allgemeine man wear an eagle representative of another faction, the VT armed SS? I know there are anomolies, but it doesnt make sense for me.As far as an eagle on a black uniform, maybe the normal SS eagle, but not this type.If this were a standard service tunic it would have an armband or nothing.I believe it is a VT tunic but with A-SS insignia added.I think th eagle belongs on it,but not the other badges.

The tunic does not appear to be an SS RZM type tunic such as the early SSVT tunics which were HBT. Although it is cut like one and resembles one the lack of an RZM tag is suspicious to me on such an early SS manufactured item. I owned an SSVT lightweight tunic and this is not one.

The Bender photo is far from being conculsive, it looks to me to be right facing.

There are plenty of these period photo's of LAH which do show the correct style (imo)

Why would the 1st type officer version be contrary to the EM

It also would think it was RZM produced.
