SS Officers Hat for review

This hat came out of a estate where i got a ss helmet i posted in the helmet forum. The visor is lose and needs to be repaired other than that its nice. The helmet has burghasusen written inside, the story from the mans 71 year old brother was they found the stuff is one of gorings caves??? Any input i can get would be great.

To me the insignia look good, Assmann skull (Zimmermann eagle ? not so good on eagles MUST study them more )

Hat is original. Insignia seem good to. Rare skull!
This hat is a bit beaten up.. sweat band is ok, but seem repaired.. period or post war? Not often to see the stirmdruckfrei pattern in such hat. Peak stifener probaply also came loose, as the schirm.
Is the Paste board inside ok?
Nice restoring project imo.

Thanks i feel a little better now. The board is still inside, i pulled the paper out of the sweatband to see if it had someones name on it but theres nothing on it. Thanks for your help!!!

You don't need to, it's a 100% Assmann and it say's 'Ges Gesch' or 'Pat Pending' as we know it.

BTW M1/72 IS Fritz Zimmermann ... I was right
