    Visor cap eagle and skull

I don't want to take these off the cap to photograph or check for maker marks; however, I thought some of you might be able to tell me the maker or makers by just looking at these.......the cap is unmarked, but of course that wouldn't indicate who made the insignia.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Can't help you out with the eagle, but the skull is in the Deschler style "M1/52".

Yes, I'm agree with cris403. The skull is a M1/52 Deschler.
I'm not shure about the eagle but I would say it's a 499/41 Zimmermann.

I can say for shure they are bouth original.

        Cheers,

I bet the eagle is this: RZM M1/17; E. W. Assmann & Söhne in cupal

Thanks a lot to all. I have posted the cap here before. I got it several years ago, probably 20 to 30, along with the overseas cap I have also posted with the cloth skull worn off almost from wear from a vet who took them and the tunic off a WSS officer (he thought the equivalent of a LT COL) in the Po Valley in Italy during the war. I got there a little too late.......he had burned the tunic the weekend before because they were cleaning out his basement and it had a couple of mothed places on it. He didn't even remove any of the insignia off it before he burned it!

At the same time he also gave me a really nice single decal helmet, but it isn't SS.
