    ss TK skull SILVER 900

Hi Gents. 900 marked ss skull, whats your thoughts?
Personally its the first 900 "silver" skull i find interesting. Known facts that there are few to compare with out there. Indeed a rare and not much info around about such type skull. This one has been on the hat a long time, and got nice patina.
    Cheers

Well imho when you look at your skull frontal close up pictures, one can clearly see the outlines of a "most likely" previous skull
                Just my two cents Gissle

That outline could be from polish residue. Some insignias were polished in place on the caps. The result is traces of the polish left behind near the insignia. That is what it looks like to me. Also, the residue seems to exist all around the skull outline which would mean that a rather large skull would have to fit over it to match that. I do not think that is possible.

                          Gisle,

The skull will always be a worry. Just send the hat to me and I will relieve you of all that worry!

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Hi Bob, Thanks. You have been in the game for a long time. Have you seen similar skulls? I know "elder people" (no offence) us collectors belive in them, and have seen claimed originals. I guess you, Bob and Donald discoused silver skulls before in past, right?
Apretiate the discousion Gents. All info and comment welcomed. Thanks.

If 900 marked skulls did exist during the period, I believe they would have been die stamped from thin 900 silver sheet stock, not casted.
