I cannot get better shots because there is no light at the moment. The wash looks properly aged like on zink badges I get. I pried it off this foto album which is period and it left a nice impression which is hard to see due to the bad lighting. Its not from a dealer or flea market. Iam by no means a skull expert but it does not show pitting or signs of casting like a combat badge.

I honestly dont see the casting marks,it is the old wash I believe that makes that impression,look above the eyebrow where its worn,you dont see that bumpy castlike pattern there,or in the other worn off areas.Im no skull expert,but in this case..I beg to differ on it being cast.A closer view of the worn area would help if possible.
Im not saying one way or the other if skull is legit,but dont think its a cast copy anyhow.Comment

Just wait for those to comment that really know about these skulls, I am perhaps a bit too sceptic when I see what I believe to be flaws or soft details. I base my scepticism on the fact that some realy "good" cast fakes of cap skulls are out there.Originally posted by münster View Post
