Hi gang,Im in the process of procuring this Allgemeine SS Fulda-Werra greatcoat,its in the Hayes book,as shown.Just wanted opinions on it,or if anyone has seen it in hand,Looks VERY good to me ,but just in case I've missed something...any comments are appreciated that add to the thread,.I will have more photos soon.
It is named and is a vet aquired piece,but ar'ent they all?Im getting it for a good price,but then again have'nt seen anything like this on the market lately...especially being A-SS,so Im guessing its a good price.
The most important and overlooked thing I feel in collecting uniforms is years of insignia and do they match up...,after double checking all seems to match well...all insignia seems to match the period consistently to early war..Not sure at what year eagle came out...but since its a early war piece Im guessing its ok??Thats the only thing Im questioning on insignia. Im guessing its late prewar or early wartime Allgemeine SS....I know greatcoats arent for everyone,but justy couldnt pass this up...
