Here's the RODO in my collection

I hope it's original. It is a "indirect vet purchase",
in that I got it from a collector who gave me the name of an
82nd Airborne vet he got it from.

HI Mark, yes RODO SS buckles were all steel, and they came in various shades/thickness/quality of green and to a lesser extent blue,
