Double SS Runes Photos

I was at the National Archives yesterday and stumbled across this photo in an SS personnel file. The soldier was Wilhelm Karius born on 12 August 1911. I thought you SS insignia collectors might enjoy seeing this photo.

Those boards are very odd looking also right? Long and stiff? I would have said allgemeine{for VT} but there is a pip? on one,even the pip looks odd!
