    Hello Jan,

Your assumptions are correct. I think the Galacia tab is an old Reisenhaft copy. The other two pieces are fine.

The images are just too dark to be positive.

        Jan,

Thanks for the extra photo. It is an original Galacian collar tab. A rare and valuable collar tab, for sure.

The badge cloth has a pattern to it that reminds me of the Delta tabs, the embroidery thread also has that fluffy look to it, again typical of Delta. The embroidery pattern is not exactly similar to originals I've seen.

My first thoughts were a Delta tab with a good piece of buckram put in it and a sewing machine run around the edges. I've sold the examples I had many years ago but it may be worth doing some comparisons with some good tabs you can find to be sure.

            Steve,

You may be correct. The fake Reisenhaft tabs (Later called Delta tabs) have a very slate gray-black color, unlike original tabs on wool. badgecloth, or velveteen. The fake thread embroidery was dull gray, not shiny ploished cotton in silver color. This tab looks very dark, but it might be the photo. I have looked and looked and cannot make up my mind, positively.

Of course you are right about the embroidery thread, dull versus sheen, also neat versus 'fluffy'. As you say, its difficult sometimes with pictures, different story with them in the hand, don't even need eyes, just running a finger over the embroidery will detect the difference. I'm sure you have felt a few tabs

I'm sceptical of this one for the reasons we have said plus I don't think the pattern of embroidery is correct. The owner could do a good search on the forum, there must have been one or two posted in the past to compare the pattern to.

I took the picture and pushed the black levels up a few points. We know the tab badge cloth on the tab next to it is std black. Note the two tabs have had the same treatment so without talking absolute values we can see relative to the badge cloth the Galizien is more dark gey.

The resolution of the source picture is not quite good enough, for me at least, to say the pattern in the base material is matches what Delta used 100% but it sure is looking like it.

Also a good one here ( on WRF, picture credit, Dimas.) You can see the pattern of embroidery is different.

These last two show all the characteristics of good foreign volunteer tabs. Sorry but I don't think the first one starting the thread is correct.

So in this case, the ss rank tab is original, as well as the ss panzer hat insignia, am I correct??

                        Jan,

You are correct: original rank tab and panzer M-43 insignia.
