New to SS cloth collecting and would like some help

Recently got into collecting SS cloth items, but I have to admit that I am very much new to this section of collecting. Here is an enlisted mans TK tab that I would like opinions on. That and I would love some recommendations on books and resources to use to learn abit more about the originals as when I looked at the fakes thread for these I realised I would not be the best judge of them at this point.

Here is a tab I would like opinions on as well.TK collar tab.jpg

Well that is good to know. It is from a dealer I trust. To be honest if there is one item I get it would be this tab although I do want to collect others. My only deal is many that you run into are abit clean. I kinda like the items to have a more aged look to them. All the same I did like this one.

        Original collar tab.

Just spend more time studing that spending money. Learn everything you can, searching the threads on this forum and reading every quality reference book you can find.

The fun of collecting is finding original items. This is accomplished by knowing more about what you collect than your average dealer of collector knows. Once you know originals, the fakes become a minor nuiscence.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

I have to quote this, because it is the essence of collecting third reich.

          Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks guys. I collect for the fun of it. Been interested in history for a long time. I started collecting militaria when I was 14. I am 27 now and got into TR items a little while back. Currently going to school to get my teaching degree so money is not very plentiful. I guess this is a hell of a chapter of TR relics for me to get into at this time
Personal favorites of mine have always been the war badges. If there are only two tabs I end up with it would have to be a TK and the runic tab.
