The shield is good: a standard 'Dachau' version. I'm not sure about the tab: it looks very crudely made.

Shield looks like a mint one with zig-zag stitching to look like it was on a tunic before..

          David,

Shield is 100%, no question there.

The tabs get more complicated, it's in a shape of the official one but there were many home made and unofficial ones too. A good start would be to contact someone like Soren on here (prorege1) or this chap.. http://www.frikorps-danmark.dk/main.htm

Besides the shield I like the tab as Steve indicated there were many unofficial locally made variations of the flag tab made.

if the tab is real it is a very rare beast!
hope you've got a good 'un there.....
must admit i'm not sure, never handled one so can't really comment.
                good luck !

original denmark taps are extremely rare but if original they are made with a cardboard material wery different to the examble shown here! I have only seen and are aware of one orig. set of tabs which is 100% original and they are (if I remember correctly) from a slightly reddish thick cardbord mat.

Is there any chance you can grab a photo or two and show us all. I am sure we would like to see.
Unless someone can give us a more positive yes or no ?

The collartab is hard to classify, but it looks good to me. It´s shown upside down.

Thanks for pointing that out Ludwig .... and your comments
I am hopeful the tab will get the thumbs up as correct.
Do you have a photo of the tab in use ?
                          Regards

I´m afraid not, the guy who owns the pair is not too keen about putting his stuff on the net, but i´ll try to ask again.
there has been a lot of burglery and even a home robbery in the danish collectors community in the last couple of years, and therefore people are anxius about showing theyre goods! sad but understandeable.

I have to say I feel a little more confident that this could be an unofficial locally made variation as stated by Rene & Steve but would welcome more comments and even photographs of it in use.
