    Sir, what is your problem?

You do not like the nice cape...well, you do not have to - it´s easy.

But let this forum live in peace - there is no need to attack anyone here.

Well said Thorsten. Most guys who stir up crap on an item like that are just jealous that it's not theirs or they simply cannot afford it. Alex

This guy has admitted to having been banned or expelled under other names before; I don't know why he's still here. For the record, I love your cape, and eyed it up myself when it was on the e-stand. I'm still unsure as to if it was worn pre-45 in that length; I recently saw one ( a first type with just collar tabs) that would fall in length between yours and an ankle-length cape, and it had certainly not been shortened after manufacture. In fact, the button fly on the front was also shorter, thereby maintaining the proportion with the overall cape length. These things are so rare in example and in picture that its almost impossible to establish a standard. Add to that the great amount of latitude allowed in off-duty, walking-out dress and, well, there you go. I'll also add this- as primarily an Imperial German collector, I'm familiar with the variations of allowed officer's cape in that era. There most certainly was a variety of cape length allowed and observed at that time, one of which was a short cape just like this intended to be worn over the greatcoat...

Expel? the words a joke. meaningless. this forum expels anyone with a sense of humour, anyone with an opinion. i know there are many recent expelees that are under other names. re joining is just a click away. so to expel is simply impossible.

That's where your wrong...being expelled is for a higher reason than the whims of an admin as you seem to think,it's to weed out members like you that seem to think insults and behavior like yours is acceptable. There is a differece between opinion and insult, sense of humour and crudeness.Obviously you have no sense of this,to be expelled and then to rejoin the conversation under basically the same user name 2 posts later IN THE SAME THREAD is a slap in the face to our admins,us and the forum.

The forum has guidelines whether you like them or not. Id love to know the reasons for your expulsions, and your defense. That's when you would hear my opinion and possibly my sense of humour kick in.Oh yeah,I have BOTH and have never been expelled! Which goes for teh majority here.

Obviously you have been expelled more than once, you yourself stated you've been here WAAAY longer than January 2011,the join date of your previous expelled moniker"citadel".I see another coming....

I would really enjoy learning some more and seeing some more examples of these SS capes (as well as, perhaps, other services) in varying lengths rather than watching a slug fest between members with a clue and idiots who admit having been tossed off before.

Would someone just trash this twit so we can get on with things?

you take yourselves far too seriously. . . when expulsions are made with no explanation then i am happy to make a mockery of the whole laughable process.

Whoever the frig you are, will you just go away. Busting this guy's balls is serving no purpose but to insure everyone knows you're a low life.

You want to argue - go on facebook or some other venue for nitwits.

Ok, the cape comes down to common sense and logic. It is obvious the cape is a real period cape. For what humanly possible reason would someone have to shorten it post war? Therefore one can conclude (at least ones with a marginal IQ) that it was period done. I am probably the biggest skeptic here and I see no issue.

                              YOU - a skeptic?

Couldn't resist piping in on you Nick . It's nice to hear you referencing "a marginal IQ" and know you're NOT speaking about me for a change. Not sure the reference to "marginal" applies to our new trouble maker however.
