SS Infantry Boards and Officer's Eagle for Review

    Hi Everyone,

I'd like to get some opinions on these please?

First is a set of mismatched Infantry EM boards. The both appear to be tunic removed and have heavy soiling. One has wool and the other rayon piping. The wool one has rayon backing on the tongue,
The rayon piped brushed cotton. The button holes are stretched from wear.

The second piece is this bullion sleeve eagle. It shows wear also, It has three types of bullion wire used in the embroidery. There is some loss to the bullion in areas.

    Thank you in advance,
    Keith

Hmmm. I'll let those smarter than I comment on the boards.

Hasn't this eagle been posted before? The "patina" looks a little extreme.

I think this eagle might have seen a washing machine from inside way after 1945...

              Agreed. Bad boards. Definitely fake.

The eagle appears to have been dyed black to rid it of its "glow"

I agree with Glenn and galizien41, I don't like the shoulder straps .
