Hitlerjugend cufftitle

I have a question re the Hitlerjugend cufftitle worn by officers of the 12th ss panzer division. Did the officers wore standard HJ ct's or a bullion embroidered officer version? Jacques

Hello Jacques,

At this time, there is apparantly only one original type of Hitlerjugend cuff title, in the BeVo-like weave. It was worn by both officers and men.

Most of the officers came from the 'Leibstandarte', 'Hitlerjugend' wasn't entitled as of right to wear a cufftitle so wouldn't they carry on wearing their old 'Adolf Hitler' cufftitles untill they were awarded a 'Hitlerjugend' one ? All the photo's I've seen show them in camouflage.

From Leopoldsburg in belgium, place where u have the Beverloo Kamp, training ground for SS during WW2, where the 12th panzer division "hitlerjugend" was created; i'd like to knw if anyone knws where i can buy a real an original hitlerjugend cufftitle?

I used to own this 12th SS "HJ" grouping (link below) - for those of you who have not seen this before, it's definitely worth a few minutes to go through:

Of special interest is post # 31 where Bussmann asks his mother back home (note date of letter) to purchase as many ["HJ"] sleevebands (i.e. cufftitles) as she could for him and others members of his 12th SS Panzer unit....
