Hard decision - name removed but all runic symbols present.
Assuming it's authenticity is confirmed, maybe US$4500 - 5500?

4500-5000? No way Mil. Not with name removed. Craig Gottlieb bought one off ebay last week with name removed for around $1500. I would say no more than 2500/3000...........
Is there no seam behind the skull on this ring??

Yeah - buying it for that amount - then with modern technology identifying the removed name, finding out that it belonged to a real bad a$$ and selling it again for more than 10 K!

perhaps my estimates were too high, but I took the condition of the runes into high consideration. I will say that you are right and a value of US$3000 seems more reasonable.

Can anyone explain how the name was removed? I have one that someone tried to remove the name and there are file marks and scratches. In the end, the name is still readable. This one looks really clean.

the owner was gottfried hackl - a NSKK führer from Austria.
