    Unusual Skull Sports Insignia

Kai Winkler pointed this out to me at the SOS. I believe it to be related to the German swimming teams, but would like to be sure. It is the same size as the SS sports shirt runic patch and came home with a pile of Dachau insignia, according to the seller.

    Thank you for any help.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

    WTF?

One thing is for sure: some dealers have more fantasy than brains.

I remember that photo, but was wondering if this was a swim club patch. I cannot imagine why a young lady would wear a totenkopf on her swimsuit if it had no club relation or meaning.

              Bob.

Here's mine ............... the only other one of these I have ever seen.

It is, I believe, a variation of the Totenkopfschwimmerabzeichen.

However, it is made exactly like the SS sports vest badge.

              SS-TV sports?

It's a German life saving award, I believe, a variant is still awarded today.

I think the young ladies wore the TK's on their swimsuits to atract suitable men from the SS-TV units. I know the Doc still does in case any vets are still living here in the US.
