Would you be buying the cap as well?

Sorry I can't help with insignia.

No, the cap is not the subject,
even if I have no problem with it.

I probably wouldnt buy this skull for my collection...

IMO the skull looks like a cast copy (albeit a good copy), there just doesnt appear to be the fne detail that I would expect to see, also the surface finish of the skull looks a little rough ... can't comment on the eagle.

Further to my last post here is an original example of an m1/52 skull, compare the nasal area and top row of teeth, also look at the smooth finish on the forehead. On the original all looks well defined, not so on the cast skull.

            Hope this helps.

Are those the pins of the insignia?

No they aren't, the eagle pins are much higher up, like 4 or 5 inches higher up.

What are your feelings towards the skull, Ian? I also feel it could be cast as was suggested earlier in this thread.

I have a feeling it's the same RZM 52 fake as was discussed a few months ago, several times, however I didn't comment because I wasn't sure and Chris (SS Collector) was waiting in the wings.

I believe that this precise prong is the lower prong of the eagle,
                          the attachment behind the swastika.

It remains however difficult to get an general overview of the eagle prongs, unless you damage the thread

Could you please send me a link to this former discussion,
if you still find it ?
