Interesting to read on the German forum by a specialised collector from Kroatia that the roughly casted officers buckle is a periode piece, these were hand made in limited quantities and an estimated 150 were produced for EM d. DM.
Also read that some 11 of these exist in collections and that most of these were ground dug finds. All appear to be rough versions so the first one shown in this thread would be a fake copied from the regular e.m. buckle design.
Also found a Kroation HJ badge on the net for Deutsche Jugend with the same type of rough local RZM type of approval label. Who knows....???
Cannot confirm if anything about this is true, or even if officer buckle versions of this organisation even existed....?
They did copy many SS type of insignia etc and even had there own sports and wound badges!
Can anyone chime in on this?

The only thing which is original on this pic, is the domobrani belt. rest are very bad fakes made in ludbreg, croatia.

Sure, i have proofs for everything what i wrote. And by the way, i am not the only one here from Croatia who knows David's fakes. Jeez, he produces fakes, everbody here knows that, especially his ES fakes. What a shame that i can't post pics here to show you...

Interesting if thats the case, I trust he will be expelled from that German Forum?
Bad that his expertese is used to produce and sell fake stuff and telling stories.

dunno, and dont really care about because everybody has eyes and more or less also a brain and can very easy check if these ES items are fakes or not. he's not the only croatian who collects TR, so potential buyers got the chance to ask other croatians and to check the internet. i would never buy something for which only one person says that it is an original item, especially ES items, which are more than rare.

                      Hi,

just to support Blade's statements, I am also one of Croatian collectors who knows much about David's fakes. We have special threads about his fantasy pieces on our Cro forum, and here in Croatia no serious collector would even look at his pieces.

He is selling mostly to newbies and those who don't know how or don't know where to check originality.

On Croatian auctions site he is also selling some low-priced pieces (KVK, wound badges etc.) just to support his stories of originality of the pieces he sells.

I would never buy something from him. But, he has a sweet talk and nice stories in which, it seems, people love to believe ;-).

Just to say, also, that on his web page he is showing uniforms from peter Lucas (Military antiques Stockholm) web page :-(

I'm sure Peter will not be happy to see that, as he is one of the best and most decent dealers out there.

I saw that as I usually buy from P. Lucas, so I know his mannequins and torsos from other photos ;-)
Take a look what I am talking about:

I have been to Croatia many times and never found anything worth buying except a few german helmets and some Ustasha cap insignia etc, not saying there is nothing to find but seems i was out of luck
