    SS cufftitles real or fake?

I am working on getting more pictures at the moment but these are what I have so far. I am trying to convince him to take the cufftitles out of the frame for a closer look at the reverse and the stitching. Once I get more I will post them.

Removal of posts like these merely defeats the purpose of the forum. So, no.

Understood, so what are the indicators that is a fake, one of the cufftitles had the proper amount of thread on the edge. Was the skull too close to the edge or was it misshaped? I know 99% of SS items are fake but I will work on getting more pictures to post. Could some one post pictures of some real ones?

              Cuff Titles

Here are two links for Totenkopf and other cuff titles for study:

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...SS+Cuff+titles

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ss+cuff+titles

Also, use the Search function and Uniform Fake Insignia link feature for other examples.

You might want to pick up Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS, Ulric of England's SS and Political Cuff Bands Vols. I & II, and Gordon Williamson and Thomas McGuirl's German Military Cuffbands, 1784-Present.

I looked at the good totenkompf cufftitle and noticed some differences in the shape of the head of the "T," the stitching of the letters, and the space between the bottom of the letters and the edge. I will have to book mark the discussion and refer back to his pictures.
