re
A second one with mixed army and a tropical -ss eagle on field grey cloth
IMO
I really don,t know what they ask for the piece,s but about 120$ would be for me the maxium price
But IMHO I think these are all post-war applied
for one reason the insigna,s are OKE but these are the cheapiest that you can find and not rare at all
I think some croock is thinking to make some fast cash sewing this on
a field grey -cloth maybe from a very used great-coat
but this is just mine opionsigpicalways seeking = BEVO Cap and breast insignia

I agree...the pieces look like "put togethers" with somebody using the common SS tropical eagle...when have you ever seen these in other than mint uncut condition?
What is an uncut tropical eagle worth? You can get them at shows for 75 dollars, and maybe a bit more on dealer sites...I have even seen them for less, they are not rare, but dirtied up and mated with some tunic cloth you have turned maybe 100 dollars of parts into a 300 dollar "piece cut from tunic", now multiply this by ten times and you can see the profit is a motivating factor.
It looks also like somebody dirtied up the eagle to give it some age...the age toning does not look natural.
I would stay away, just my opinion.

As I said above, a strange combination. Hundreds of badges (both original and fake, and a combination of both), have been stitched on to old (and new) tunic cloth over the years, to make them more saleable to collectors who prefer the 'vet pick up' type pieces. I've been caught out with them myself in the past. If you look closely at both examples above, they seem to have been stitched in the same way (combination of machine and hand), probably by the same person. Whether or not the badges are original, the whole mock-up combination is postwar. You cannot properly 'age' the wear you see on genuine cut-off pieces.
