    1944 SS jacket

Hello, I thought I could post a few pictures of Uniforms in my collection and meanwhile ask some advise on them.

The first one is a mod. 1944 jacket, tabs have been removed but the eagle looks good besides that I was told by a few friends that this type of eagle would normally not be seen on this type of jacket. I have experience in uniforms due to my past collection of these but I was never strong in the insignias on them….

Notice the absence of buttons and buttons holes on the pockets.

    Marc

              Marc.

The eagle is perfectly correct for that tunic.

              101% original!

              Regards,

              Robin.

Mr.Lumsden is offcourse right about the eagle. It's a perfect match..

But can some one please enlight me about the tunic itself. I have never seen a m44 tunic like this. A REALLY late war tunic or have I missed something?

I dont say it's a bad one, I have just never seen one like this.

(many thanks to you Marc verstraete for all you'r postings in the SS forum. I have enjoyd and learned alot from all the pictures you have posted.)

                  Best regards

...This is probably the latest model of the 1944 jacket, no buttons anymore on the pockets.
I've seen it in real and the jacket is superb.

Nice uniform. Could you show a photo or two on the lining ?

                          Cheers.
