Dachau flag rears its head again???

WHOAH!!!! look what I just found....is this NOT the same elusive Dachau flag discussed here in GREAT detail from Oakleaf?,or is it being repro'd all of teh sudden????Same low highlights in skull etc etc,or was it a repro all along?Hate to bring this old boy back up but its got to be of interest.Has it been recreated ?Or was the original a beat up one of these?Well if it is a repo version SOMEONE had access to this flag teh skull design is exact!

Dachau Flag

I knew it would be only a matter of time for someone to copy the flag from Oakleaf. Or maybe their both real. For sure they are really close. The Oakleaf flag was huge. How big is this new one? Why don't you ask the seller where his came from. Let us know. That would be interesting information!

If I remember correctly, the original Dachau flag was two-sided. The sewing on the original one was also much better.

Don't know why someone would want to copy the other flag. Maybe they are both original?

After looking closer at the flag on the link, I think it is a copy made from photos off Oakleaf's site. For one thing, the skull on the original flag was hand painted. You could see the brush marks and inconsistencies of the hand done job. On the copy flag, the skull has been silk screened with a very light shade of gray to simulate fading. Also, the thread used in the construction of the copy flag is different and the stitching is not nearly as tight as the original example. Not to mention that the original one is 2-sided and much larger...

WHY WOULD SOMEONE COPY THIS FLAG?I REALIZE EVERYTHING SS HAS A COPY,BUT IT IS ODD,obviously the original one was made better,but this just scares me about all of it.What is everyones opinion of Oakleaf,tehy are very controversial.Especially that TK enlisted tunic with teh army raute discussed aways back.Is that Fend tunic really 100%?why has noone bought it yet then?money is never an issue to those who want the real deal??huh?

If you think about it, just listing it as a "Dachau SS Flag" proves it was copied from the Oakleaf site, or from WAF. Nowhere previously was this flag shown and identified as having been reported to have been found at Dachau before it was listed on the Oakleaf site. And the flag by itself doesn't have any features that lik it to Dachau. No, someone was busy playing around as you can tell from all the items this fellow has for sale.
