before it came to this should have offerd a layaway as now it will take just as long if not longer to get what was asking price , and history and all so a true collators value down the drain .

you see this all the time, seperating groups to move them. While it is a shame, you have to give credit that it was at least offered intact at first. Too often you see dealers automatically piece out a group for the all powerful dollar

The fellow who did this is not a collector, just someone chasing $$$

            What a shame indeed.

It was offered intact and no one wanted it or would pay for it. I believe that the owner has every right to do what he wants once it was not wanted as an intact album.

If you did not want it intact, why are you complaining about it being broken apart?

I have all my personal medals from my service and my Dad's and our other relatives awards. That is a sad event and I understand how he feels. Those things mean a lot when they are earned. I see people at shows dismissing 4 year service medals as trivial but they will never understand what that means really much less a Silver Star or a EK I. I hope he finds them.

Please do not blame the seller because you did not see his clearly posted sale ad for the album, right here on WAF: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=490062

And yes, personal property right is the complete point. I don't think anyone wants another to be able to determine what you do with your property. What is mine is mine, and if I want to use it for target practise, toilet paper or kindling is my business and no one else's.

I thought the preservation of history was the point, maybe I was wrong?
