    Gary.

    I just saw this today.

Please - I don't want to kick all this off again.

You are an authority on SS cloth and I totally respect your knowledge and your views.

I just don't trust these Dachau tabs. It's a personal thing. Collectors are different and we have our own likes and dislikes.

I'm a lone voice in the wilderness here (perhaps with Hasse as a companion) and I can live quite happily with that.

If everyone else is happy with their tabs, I'm delighted.

    Cheers.

    Robin.

      Robin:

I think Dachau tabs are 100 percent correct...these have been brought back in quantity by US vets and I have been lucky to have some buys myself direct from the vets and know others who did. That said, very good copies of these tabs were made in the 1970s by a person who was working out of New Jersey.

              John.

To answer your query, I don't particularly like the traps either. And I don't like all the uncut tropical eagles and uncut tropical skulls. Most others do like them, and I don't have a problem with that. We each have our own likes and dislikes. That's what makes the collecting game interesting.

                        Gary/Tony/Steven.

I was talking about the Bevo traps. And, yes, I've seen a few pictures of Bevo traps being worn, so I don't need any posted. But I just don't like most of the ones I see around today. As you know, there are many different variations and most of the ones I have seen just look ridiculous. It's a personal preference thing. I'm not saying they're not right, I'm just saying they look stupid. Kind of like 'Mickey Mouse' being stuck on an SS cap.

                        Regards,

                        Robin.

                          SS no 3 collar tap.

I thought I would share my latest addition to my collar collection… It will replace the damaged one pictured above

Note the tag number difference with the other tab (picture # 19 on previous page.)

Considering you do not want to visit the dachau saga again you sure are going on about it a lot, I think anyone wanting to talk about the dachau insignia should start a new thread titled as that.
but lets just re cap, Robin you did not like them because of the line on the back and the fact there are so many of them about, well there are many ss tropical cap tk's about as well and with regard to the line or lines on the back it would only take one NON dachau tab with such a line to sink your theory, i provided one such picture of a runic, which you agree was OK, then i presented the picture of the back, this was an example on badge cloth, with RZM label and yes it had a line on the back, you will also notice as well that M.V. posted an allgemeine-ss pioneer # 5 patch in one of his recent threads, did you notice the back of that? this also had the line on the back and quite obviously not a dachau tab!

Maybe it is collectors labelling any tab with the line or lines on the back as a Dachau item that is confusing the issue somewhat, as it is quit apparent that this line is not unique to just dachau patches found by many US vets in the depot

I would also suggest that the tab you posted in post # 51 is on moleskin rather than wool, a picture of the back would be better to determine that,

In post # 52 you posted another tk can we see a full picture of this patch front and back also please,

In post # 53 you posted what can only be described as one of the worst fakes of the pumpkin head tk patch i have seen why did you not use an original photo of this style to illustrate your point? below is an original pumkin head tk, the name is what some collectors have labelled it,
                              cheers,
                              Gary
While we are at it , is this an original pumpkinhead? Got if from an old collection dating from the 60s-70s.
