I'm just wondering if I'm understanding correctly... were SS tabs sewn on by hand and NOT machine? How can I tell, when looking at one, how it was sewn on? The reason I'm asking is because I have a "Tunic removed " BeVo tab and the holes are open and look similiar to the one on the tunic being discussed.
    Thanks!!

43 and SS BW is impossible to be at the same tunic, as for example Betr Ra could not be overmarked with SS BW. Also looking at the pictures - SS BW markings looks brighter than a original 43 depot markings. As a Rolls- Royce will newer had a Honda logo on it

Maybe it's a dumb question. I guess all I am really asking is...
How will I be able to look at a piece of insignia and tell if it was
sewn on by hand or machine?

I only ask because I want to learn as much as possible. I assume that is one of the goals of this website... Not JUST to show our prized pieces or ask what something's worth but to educate as well. I really do enjoy this forum, thanks to all who contribute. I have spent many hours using the 'Search' option and learned a lot...
but sometimes I like to ask the forum a specific question regarding what I'm trying to learn about. I usually don't get any replies... not trying to whine, would just like some answers sometimes.

        Thanks, Chris
