hello could you please tell me more about this cap maker

Schmid & Menner

because i bought few months ago an original waffen ss schiffchen but the skull and eagle are post war applied .
the very light stamp in the cap is Schmid und Menner and i would like know more about it.
where was the cap manufactured .
I heard that this manufacturing is rare

very nice cap... imo i would apply a different set of insigna with more patina and aging. This cap it's a real beauty so must be restored very well

I agree with the last post concerning insignia with more wear and patina. You can finance them by selling the insignia that's on there now. Keep checking with Ruptured Duck or Collector's Guild, and you'll eventually find them. NOTE: Keep checking Collector's Guild religiously, because when these pop up, they're gone pretty quickly!!
